Lucky Neko: review, 96.73% RTP and up to 100000× max win

Lucky Neko is PG Soft’s 2021 game built around the Maneki Neko, the beckoning lucky cat of Japanese shops. PG Soft’s own description is short: “a 6-reel, 5-row video slot (with an additional reel on top of reel 2, 3, 4 and 5) featuring Wilds-on-the-Way and Cat symbol multiplier”. The numbers it publishes alongside are good ones — 96.73% RTP and medium volatility — and one number needs explaining.

⚠️ 100,000× is a cap, not a promise

PG Soft lists the maximum win as ×100,000. That is the win cap: the most the game is permitted to pay out on a single spin. It is a legal and technical ceiling, not something the game is designed to produce.

Slotcatalog, which runs simulations, reports a simulated maximum of about 5,527×. That is the more useful number for anyone deciding what to play: it describes a very lucky session, where the cap describes a theoretical limit.

Neither number is wrong. They answer different questions, and most pages quote only the first.

The cap is shared, and that is the proof

There is a way to check that 100,000× is a platform limit rather than a design target, and it is to look at what else carries it. In PG Soft’s catalogue the same figure appears on games built nothing alike:

Four games, four different grids, four different feature sets, one identical “maximum”. A number that repeats across unrelated games is a ceiling the platform imposes, not a prize any of them was built to pay. The one catch is the minimum bet: €0.60, three times the usual €0.20. On a small bankroll, that shortens a session more than the volatility does.

Verdict: a strong pick for longer sessions — as long as the €0.60 floor fits your budget and you read the 100,000× as a cap.
