Sugar Rush 1000 is the 2024 sequel to Sugar Rush, and it’s the most interesting of Pragmatic Play’s “1000” builds precisely because it doesn’t follow the same template as the others. Where Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 1000 run on orbs and bombs falling from the sky, this one is geographic: a 7×7 grid where wins pay by clusters of 5 or more adjacent matching symbols, and where every winning spot gets marked with a multiplier that grows each time it wins again. The ceiling rises from 5000× to 25000× your bet.

Is Sugar Rush 1000 worth playing?

It’s a good game with a pricing problem.

It’s for you if you like the cluster concept and the idea of building up a board over the course of a round. The per-spot multiplier mechanic is genuinely more engaging than the global accumulation you get in scatter pays slots — it gives you something to track rather than just waiting for a big number to drop.

It’s not for you if you choose by RTP. At a 96.00% default RTP, this is the weakest of the 1000 builds on our site: Sweet Bonanza 1000 offers exactly the same 25000× ceiling with more than half a point of extra default RTP. Over the long run, half a point is real money. And if you want steady sessions, this isn’t the slot — rare clusters combined with multipliers that only pay off later produce long dry stretches.

Clusters instead of lines

There are no paylines and no scatter pays. You need 5 or more matching symbols touching each other on the 7×7 grid. That changes how you read the game: position matters, and an isolated symbol in a corner is worth nothing even if six identical ones are scattered around the screen.

Spot multipliers — the mechanic that defines the game

Every time a cluster wins, the positions that formed it are stamped with a multiplier. If that same position is part of another winning cluster, its multiplier grows. The multipliers of all involved positions add together and apply to the win.

In the base game, all of this resets each spin. In free spins it doesn’t: spot multipliers persist for the whole round. That’s why a bonus that starts slowly can end in absurd numbers — the board gets steadily more loaded. In the 1000 build those spot multipliers reach far higher values than in the original Sugar Rush, and that’s where the jump in ceiling comes from.

Tumbles

As in the rest of this Pragmatic family, winning symbols clear and are replaced by the ones dropping from above, letting several clusters chain within one paid spin — and, more importantly, letting the same position win repeatedly and climb the multiplier ladder.

Pragmatic Play’s official game page lists a default RTP of 96.00% for Sugar Rush 1000; slotcatalog and several other aggregators list 96.53%. We publish 96.00% because, when sources conflict, we side with the provider that built the game — and because when in doubt we’d rather show you the less flattering number than sell you an RTP that may not exist. The likeliest explanation is that Pragmatic ships multiple configurations of the same game and the aggregators recorded one of them; we could not confirm which. The comparative verdict is uncomfortable but honest: if the 25000× ceiling is what draws you, Sweet Bonanza 1000 gives you the same thing at a better default RTP. Sugar Rush 1000 earns its place on mechanics — clusters and persistent multipliers are a genuinely different experience, not a reskin — but you’re paying for those mechanics in RTP. If you want the mechanic without the discount on return, the original Sugar Rush runs at 96.5% with a 5000× ceiling.

Bankroll tips

In this slot, patience is literally part of the mechanic: the multipliers only pay off if the bonus round has time to build the board.
